What media can do against rapes?
Everyday front page of almost all newspapers have a news of a rape event. But there are bad effects to the way the news papers publish them. It creates a flutter during the initial days and becomes a routine later. What can be done by media to reduce this menace? Firstly the front page of a newspaper must not contain the news of rape, but instead must give the news of those convicted in rape. A rape convict must be interviewed and his view on about his wrongdoings and the punishment he faces, must be published. Even if he is not feeling the guilt, the news must be published indicating the problems he is facing in the prison. A reporter may carry out his analysis by m eeting a jail warden and enquire about rape convicts who feel guilty and remorse about the event which put them in jail and, this news must appear on the front page. The news may be something like below: Rapist A languishing in X jail feels sorry for what he did " I must not have done it. I feel ashamed...
